why dalmatians?
Inspiration has to come from somewhere.
Mine came from an unknown man taking his Dalmatian dog for a morning walk. Watching this simple act each day from a cramped commuter train became a metaphor for my longing to get out and work for myself.
So one day I did it.
so, what’s a dalmatian creation then?
Wooden would be a quick description.
Expanding on that slightly, I create wooden furniture made from the best quality locally-sourced materials available. I offer a range of pre-designed creations, from miner’s crackets for kids to jewellery boxes for memories. I’m always open to suggestions. If you’ve got an idea for your own creation I’ll be happy to make it up for you.
But if you think wooden stuff, you won’t go too far wrong.
how do I create?
I approach each new creation as exactly that - a new creation.
This might sound blindingly obvious, but taking a fresh approach to each new piece of work keeps me interested (which I find makes for more interesting creations by and large). However, my approach of using traditional craft skills enhanced with modern equipment in all of my creations is one thing that will never change.
